Prince Charles tests positive for COVID-19

The Queen is said to be in "good health" and continues to follow all appropriate guidelines after her son and heir are diagnosed.

Prince Charles has tested positive for coronavirus.

Clarence House confirmed that the 71-year-old heir to the throne had been diagnosed with COVID-19 disease during a statement released this morning. The royal displayed "mild symptoms" on Sunday and then was tested on Monday, with the results coming through late Tuesday night, the release said.

Charles self-isolating in Scotland

Charles otherwise remains in healthiness and has been self-isolating in Scotland with the Duchess of Cornwall, who has tested negative for coronavirus. The Prince has tested positive for coronavirus the statement said.
He has been exhibiting mild symptoms but otherwise remains in healthiness and has usually been working at home for the past few days.
The Duchess of Cornwall has also been tested but does not have the virus. In line with government and medical advice, The Prince and therefore the Duchess is now self-isolated reception in Scotland. The tests were administered by the Medical staff in Aberdeenshire where they met the criteria required for testing.
It isn't possible to hunt out who caught the virus because of the high number of commitments he has fulfilled in his public role in recent weeks.
Prince Charles' last public event was a reception and dinner in aid of the Australian fireworks relief effort on March 12, held at Mansion House in London.
Earlier the day, The Prince of Wales attend an investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace, where he greeted the recipients with a disjointed gesture due to concerns about the spread of the illness.
On March 10, Prince Charles held a Water Aid summit at Clarence House to discuss the impact of climate change on access to drinking water.

Prince Albert of Monaco

The event was also attended by Prince Albert of Monaco, who last week became the first head of state confirmed to have tested positive for coronavirus.
His health was described as "not worried" and he was being treated by doctors from Princess Grace Hospital, named after his US actress mother.
Albert continues to work from his home office in the palace and is in contact with members of his government.
The announcement comes that Prince Charles has COVID-19 weeks after the Queen and Prince Philip moved to Windsor Castle earlier than planned for the Easter period.
