Copyright Infringement and DMCA Policy
When we ask others to respect our intellectual property rights, we respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that material posted on or related to Automattic’s product or service infringes your copyrights, please let us know in accordance with the Automattic Policy for the Digital Copyright Act (DMCA). We will respond to all such notifications, including when necessary or necessary, by deleting materials that violate copyrights, or by disabling all links to materials that violate copyrights. We terminate the visitor’s access to the web site and its use if, in appropriate circumstances, the visitor is recognized as a continuing infringer of copyright or other property of Automattic or other persons. After that
- We review the notice.
- If the notice is complete and valid, we remove the content.
- We notify you of the location owner and reply to the copyright holder to allow them to know we’ve taken action.
- We add a strike to the location owner’s account if they don’t counter the notice.
- If the location owner believes they need rights to use the content or that the notice was submitted incorrectly, we review and process their counter notice.
- We restore the content if the copyright holder doesn’t take further action within 10 business days.
Intellectual property
The agreement does not transfer from Automattic to you any intellectual property of Automattic or third parties, and all rights, property rights and interest in such property remain (as between the parties) exclusively for Automattic. Automattic, WordPress, WordPress.com, the WordPress.com logo and everyone other trademarks, service marks, graphics and logos utilized in reference to WordPress.com or our Services are trademarks or registered trademarks of Automattic or Automattic Licensees. Other trademarks, service marks, graphics and logos used in connection with our Services may be trademarks of third parties. Your use of our Services does not give you any rights or licenses to reproduce or otherwise use any Automattic trademarks or third parties.
